Logistics Coordinator
REQUIRED: MUST KNOW INTERNATIONAL SHIPMENTS & DOCUMENATION FOR INTERNATIONAL SHIPMENTS!
THIS IS NOT A SUPPLY CHAIN POSITION -
Essential Functions / Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and monitor customer orders to ensure all pack lists and location reports are created timely.
- Coordinate with outside logistics staff (e.g. truck drivers) according to availabilities and requirements.
- Follow-up of orders placed for pickup with customers.
- Ensure export documents are created correctly and timely for all exports.
- Exports worldwide (mostly China, South America & Canada)
- Plan and track the shipment of final products according to customer requirements.
- Creation of pack lists from shop pack records
- Scanning of all packing documents into individual job files
- Facilitate photos for each shipment & review for customer review
- Push shipments out to customers to meet sales goals trends
- Miscellaneous filing and record keeping.
- Safety Sensitive Position
- Other duties as needed or required
Work Environment:
-Primary work environment is the office.
-Secondary work environment is the production floor.
- Employee maybe required to lead production shop tours.
- Employee will have meetings in the shop requiring the wearing of personal protective equipment.
- Ability to assist a machine operator to understand process flow.
- Ability to be aware of surroundings for safety concerns.
-Able to lift up to 30 lbs and operate office equipment such as computers, copy machines, etc.
-Able to sit for prolonged time periods plus occasion walking to stooping.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience as Logistics / Billing coordinator
- Great work ethic and POSITIVE attitude a MUST
- Excellent Customer Service skills
- 2+ years of experience in logistics or supply chain management
- Export Compliance Experience (export docs & terms)
- Knowledge of laws, regulations, and ISO requirements
- Willing to take direction where needed to adjust to growing demands of the business
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Adobe and other logistics software
- Ability to work with little supervision and track multiple processes
